Blue Obsession Collection

To mark the launch of The Blue Obsession Collection by Waterman, we asked the world-renowned hyperrealist artist, Dirk Dzimirsky, to express his passion using our new range of pens.

The winner of the Blue Obsession competition, Mr. Ryohei Fujiyoshi, from Japan is seen here with the unique original picture by Dirk Dzimirsky. The winning title, "A moment before silence", was selected personally by Dirk out of 580 entries.
Commenting on his successful entry, Mr Fujiyoshi said “I didn’t even dream of being selected as the winner for this, so I am really thrilled. Perhaps the perspective from using my favourite fountain pen delivered the wisdom and luck for me.

From all at Waterman, we thank everyone for their entries and would like to wish all our followers and avid collectors Seasons Greetings and the good wishes for 2015.

The Blue Obsession Collection by Waterman is a work of art. The colour blue has been emblematic of the Waterman brand since 1940 when the first blue ink bottle was produced. Inspired by this heritage, each pen is beautifully detailed and encased in striking blue. There are pens for people who love beautiful design as much as they love the art of writing.
